This was our last dinner in Rome and it was a delight. I had Spaghetti al vongole and it was perfect. The Spaghetti was perfectly al dente, the sauce clung to the pasta and the vongole were juicy little morsels. My fiancé had a seafood risotto and her dish was also perfect, both were exceptional versions of traditional Italian pasta... More

It's a nice restaurant with nice food and a nice ambience. It's better to visit in the evening. Try the wine of the house and try everything with pasta.

Our family of 3 ate here for dinner. The ravioli, steak and ossobucco were amazing but the showstopper was the tiramisu. Best we have had in Italy so far on our trip.

Visited with husband and three kids (6, 9, 11) for dinner. Very traditional, very welcoming but not amazing. Food tasty, well cooked and generous but we had to work hard to find dishes for the younger two. I think if you want classic Roman food you will enjoy but if you're used to slightly more contemporary food you may be... More

We went there for dinner without reservation. We were lucky as many after us were sent away. Great food. We have DD with food allergies (all nuts), no issues. Truly enjoyed the spicy pasta. They also recommend another black pepper pasta. That was great too. We would definitely come back.

Enjoyed a lovely late dinner at this restaurant. Excellent service and solidly good food! Had a terrific house red wine with a seafood linguini and my husband enjoyed the traditional cheese and pepper pasta specialty. We did not have the desserts but they looked delicious!

Fantastic home-style restaurant, with honestly some of the best food you will have in Rome, period. The artichokes are incredible and the pasta (alla amatriciana) is phenomenal

We went to Le Tavernelle with a big group of many nationalities, so big that we had to book two long tables to fit everyone. The staff was great to us from the moment we walked in and we were all served in no time. We all got different types of wine and beers and antipasti etc. It all flowed... More

It's a historical restaurant near the Colosseum, that offers Roman dishes, meat, fish, no pizza. Air conditioning, free wifi, small pets allowed, disabled inaccessible. Go park the car on the blue parking lots scattered around the area, and have a walk through the evocative streets of the city centre. You can reach us by stepping off the Metro A "Cavour". Characteristic dessert of the place: the Dolcevita, a sort of "panna cotta" without eggs (it was dedicated the the Italian director Fellini, who happened to be allergic to eggs).
