After the arrival the waiter prepared for us the table despite that the restaurant was full. Very nice! However, then he was quite pushy on us to order the 3 course meal. We ordered the starter and main course and we saw that he was disappointed. (?) Then we realised that we are just the tourists and not important anymore (comparing... More

Service was friendly but slow - due to there just being one waiter working. Wine was tasty and reasonably priced. The recommended starter was not very good - overly fried battered vegetables and the bread was stale and again fried. The recommended carbonara was good though. A popular restaurant but the food could be better and they need more staff.

We had a fantastic experience at this resturarant. Our waiter, Oreste, was attentive, informative and extremely personable. The waiter had wonderful recommendations- every one spot on! The food was fabulous. The beef was cooked perfectly and the brill was spectacular. Such a great find in Rome.

Had a brilliant lunch experience here. Family run restaurant which had everything you would want in a restaurant in Rome. The food was amazing (carbonara for me and beef for mrs y) and the service was v friendly. Whole restaurant was vibrant with locals and tourist mixed. If you go to the Vatican - eat here!

Very nice Italian food - I liked the artichoke as a starter and the seafood pasta afterwards. Owner and founder present in the restaurant - family-owned business.

I work around the corner, and these guys offer cheap, delicious, and authentic pasta dishes for €5 if you pick it up yourself. Often, they offer me a free fried treat if I have to wait any time at all upon pickup. Will be back!

A restaurant with a local clientele. .250 house red & .4 of beer ; two good starters(soup of the day had all gone by 19.30) ; bread ; two good mains(the beef could have fed two) ; one potatoes one deep-fried artichoke(both delicious) = 65 euros & complimentary limoncello before we... Great family atmosphere and superb food. Our kids loved the jokes of the servers as well as the pasta and the chocolate cake. Fried artichokes were a hit with the parents. Great experience for a family lunch in the Vatican area.

Being for 3 days in Rome , staying near Vatican city we ate in a lot of places, and we were so upset that we found this amazing restaurant only on our last day! Best homemade food with best prices in this area. Interior is not fancy and old , but thats why you feel like you visiting your good... More

After visiting the Vatican Museums we looked up places to eat nearby and found the Ragno D'oro. It's a classic, family run restaurant that serves a menu of classic Roman cuisine and various fish dishes. Served up with no nonsense and very good humour the lively, friendly atmosphere and great quality food made it a really enjoyable lunch that precisely... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
