We were staying just up the road from this small but perfect restaurant and having read the great reviews on tripadvisor we decided to give it a try. We received a warm welcome upon arriving and even though the restaurant was very busy the owner and the waitresses were so friendly and lovely. We loved the food we had, which... More

Had the pleasure of eating twice at this place on our week in Rome. I know, so many places to visit, yet we repeated. It was just very tasty and decently priced in comparison to some of the newer places in the area which made it worth a second visit. The menu is not very extensive but the dishes are... More

We just had pizza, salad dessert and wine. Good quality at reasonable prices. This was just opposite our hotel so was a great first night place to eat.

Very lucky to find this place after a morning touring the Vatican. Only 5 minutes walk from Vatican and a great find. The food was so tasty. And great value

This was our first trip to Rome and we were looking for an authentic place frequented by locals near the Vatican...and found this quiet and unassuming little place. So glad we did! We ate our evening meals there twice and each time Aldo and his daughter Francesca treated us like friends - our meals were very reasonably priced...and the food... More

We were in Rome for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had planned to go to another restaurant but it was a bit busy so we walked on. Glad we did, found this little restaurant by mistake. It had just opened for the night and most of the tables were full. Mostly locals. We had the antipasti to share with was... More

Planning trip to Rome we looked at possible places to eat and identified this place based on reviews on TripAdvisor - we couldn't have asked for a better place to eat. The food was excellent, and the staff very friendly. There was 4 of us and we all really enjoyed our meals but I have to say the seafood spaghetti... More

Even in the Vatican area, the only tourists there for lunch was me and my wife. The menu, completely Mediterranean and full of specialties from Rome. The food is simple, but very well prepared and... what a smell! We had mixed vegetables, caprese, ravioli and tagliatelle with porcini. If your intention is the non-tourists restaurant, this is a real option.

Thank Andre D

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
