Very nice authentic Italian pasta and pizza. Great value for money. The service and the decoration could be better.

Great place, good food, honest price. Only one thing, our dishes arrived not at the same time, my son has been waiting.

Everything was first-rate at L'Antico Moro. To start, we had nicely fried Roman Jewish artichoke and a mille feuille of grilled eggplant, zucchini and tomato, both prepared in olive oil, followed by two wonderful pasta dishes: casarecce (short pasta) with smoked provolone and bufala mozzarella cheese and eggplant, and rigatoni all'amatriciana, a classic Roman dish made with guanciale (pork cheek),... Dinner on New Year's Day. We spent the day taking advantage of the open day of museums and monuments and went to dinner early, our timetable was quite Italian in fact, as they start to dine from 7.30pm. Shortly before 8pm we were in the restaurant, which allowed us to have a table for 6 people, although we had no... More

My friends and I studied abroad this past semester and this became THE place for all of us to take our visiting family and friends, for birthday dinners etc. etc. It was the only place that truly satisfied everyone-- from the vegans, to the meat lovers, to those searching to find the best pasta dish in Italy. They staff could... More

The presentation of the food and the atmosphere was excellent. The food tasted great and the wine by the glass was quite good. I had first a Prosciutto with Mozzarella and as a second I decided to go for the Carbonara, as it was marked to be one of the bests in Italy, I don't know if this is true,... More

The restaurant is situated in the picturesque neighborhood of Trastevere, which is near the Tiber river. It is all white, with black and white portraits of famous Italians, like Sofia Lauren, hanging off the walls, with small pots filled with flowers and soothing music (e.g jazz) playing. All these elements make the space really special and cozy. As far as... More

Description

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
