We ate here on a Friday night. We got a great meal for $53 euro. The meal included bread, sparkling water, pasta fagioli, pasta with clams, tiramisu, and a bottle of local red wine. The waiters are efficient and professional. It was very relaxing and the food was excellent. The restaurant does have free wifi. They have delicious limoncello.

After a long day of travel, followed by some sightseeing, this was the perfect place for dinner, and a bottle of wine. Prices were very reasonable, and the food was great.

A small restaurant off of a side street near the train station. We went the first night and it was so good we went back again. Wonderful food and service. Highly recommended!

This place is a little gem! The staff are very friendly and welcoming and make excellent recommendations. The menu is full of traditional Italian favourites. We chose the carbonara and the cannelloni, the pasta was fresh and they tasted amazing! Really well balanced flavours and both dishes were the best we've ever had. The desserts were equally as good with... More

This place was a quick walk from our hotel. Very good food including many choices for my vegan wife. Good pasta and first courses and very reasonably priced for Rome. I highly recommend it.

After looking up places to eat dinner in our neighborhood In Rome my husband found this place. The excellent reviews were all earned. We were the only non Italians eating here, it was all locals who know where to eat. The prices were so reasonable that we did a double take looking at at the check - we each had... More

Every time I visit Rome, my Roman friend and I always meet here (she continues to call it the Abbruzzee!) as she used to work nearby. The staff are charming. My friend always orders the carbonara because she thinks it is one of the best in Rome. The food is regular fare and always cooked well. The prices are reasonable.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
