We found this restaurant by chance and were so pleased we did, great service and superb food. My friends had the seafood risotto which they loved and I had the most delicious vegetable soup. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

It's quite normal restaurant but quite expensive and portions are small. The service is kind. The strange was waiting for coffe - earlier we have tiramisu and panna cocta than coffe.

I have had much time to enjoy a meal like that! In the heart of busy Rome, you can find this quiet place, where the staff is very friendly and the food excellent! Value for money for sure!

Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here.
Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very
epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree
turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its
ancient beginnings to its 21st century
transformations. Whether it’s those historical
playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or

In the hearth of ancient Rome, in a small corner of the old capital is a place almost hidden, rocked by the streets of a Rome of the past but still forever where one feels the most authentic Roman “La taverna degli amici” was born so , quiet, away from the daily noise, where the scents and smells capture attention to the Roman walks in the streets between the Capitol, the Teatro Marcello and the Ghetto. The simple yet refined cuisine, tasty but not heavy, offers a unique opportunity to pass moments in which taste and beauty come together in the customer’s Taverna with fresh dishes and not binding at ‘sign of the oldest and most famous Roman tradition.
