This place was recommended by our hotel and was short walk from where we were staying. We had passed this place a couple of times but was not sure about it. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The waitress was very helpful in getting us a nice sea bream fish with roasted potatoes. It was large enough for... More

We sat at a sidewalk table and enjoyed a leisurely 5-course Roman meal. The bruschetta and Italian meat and cheese appetizers were great. Veal Saltimbocca was yummy. Meatballs and spaghetti delicious. Tiramisu and profiteroles were amazing. And, of course, there was plenty of wine. Service was outstanding. I don't remember our waiter's name, but he was always there when we... More

Was in the area, as we are staying in Trastevere this trip, but went out of our way to eat here again. The food is very good, friendly service, nifty place inside, all adds up to a... More

With a growling stomach and tired legs we decided to take a bite at this welcoming restaurant. The staff was really friendly and service minded, especially our waiter Francesco who greeted us with a smile and a lot of humour. The food was delicious and we even got a ride back to our b&b. We will definitely come back.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
