We came here as it was local to where we were staying after a long day of travelling and it proved to be a great decision. Food was very reasonably priced (€15 for 3 course set menu consisting of two main dishes and dessert) and also very tasty, waiters were friendly and offered recommendations for the dishes. Overall a very... More

The food was average, the service wasn't very good. With these prices, certainly there are much better places!

First of all the food was okay. I got pasta with olives and pepper as a starter, for the main course I had lamb with fries on the side. Price was definitely okay too, but the service was terrible! I have not even got that bad service in my own country. First of all the waiter spilled on me. Well... More

The place looked promising from outside and busy. Once inside however we were crammed in to a small two table and a few minutes later a family of four came in and were seated next to us so we had no way out. Eventually we managed to get a more open table but the staff weren't happy about it. We... More

My travel companion insisted to buy us lunch in this little restaurant. Unfortunately it was too cold and windy to sit outside. The inside is cosy, lots of tables, little space to move around. We both had a pasta dish which was lovely and half a liter of red wine, some water of course and a coffee. I don't know... More

Went for dinner after this place was recommended in a guide book for cheap eats. Definitely good value for money (bread, two dishes, dessert and water for 13 euro as a set menu) but the food was average. The carbonara had hunks of bacon and quite salty, and the lamb was very crispy and just ok. The atmosphere was great-... More

On our last night in Rome we wanted to go to a restaurant that the locals frequent. It is an extremely busy restaurant and it is a little tight seating wise. We ordered meals from the 3 course set menu. The food was very tasty but the portions were a little on the small side. For a starter I had... More

We were here a couple of days ago , from the outside it looks like a nice place but unfortunately the food socks. We were there with 7 people and we had the set menu but we all choose different dishes , but nobody liked the food , so that says enough.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
