As an individual living in Rome I decided to try this restaurant. I never like to eat in restaurants in front of monuments, as it if often crowded and expansive. Therefore, I prefer to find restaurants off the main road...and this is when I stumbled upon La Fontana di Venere. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with staff friendly and... More

Found this on trip advisor and decided to try on a last minute decision. Excellent meal, reasonably priced, awesome service. Waiter Alex was amazing- made great recommendations for wine and dinner choices! If visiting Rome please consider adding to your list of places to eat.

Went for A dinner, this was not something special. Taste medium and the location of the restaurant is a bit hidden. Close to fountain di trevi. Service was friendly.

We stayed in Rome for two nights and on our final night decided to eat here after a recommendation from a friend. The restaurant is a short walk from di trevi fountain which wasn't too far from our hotel. It's down a side street so can be easily missed. The food was brilliant and all freshly made. The staff were... More

Was looking for the best pesto in Rome and google brought me to this place. The restaurant was warm and cozy. My bf ordered their seafood risotto and it's the best risotto we have ever had. My pesto was not the best I have had but the excellent service and the atmosphere definitely made up for it. It was actually... More

It is unbelievable how this Restaurant could get such a good score on TripAdvisor. Our visit during Christmas 2016 was a real disappointment. Because of Christmas it was at fixed menu at a fixed price, that was ok, we were aware of that. The price was €40 for appetizer, main course and dessert, it seemed ok when ordering. But what... Dear Client, We are saddened because you did not like our menu, even though many other customers that night enjoyed it. We apologize for not offering you some bread. For dessert, unfortunately some of them were finished since we were packed that day, but, still, we could offer you so many other desserts of ours. Best regards. Bruno More

We approached this restaurant having booked a table based on its trip advisor reviews alone. We were about to enter the restaurant when the people in front of us were like IF YOU NEED SOMEWHERE TO EAT, EAT HERE, I was just like oh we are... a bit awkward, the some guy once we were seated at our table gave... We enjoyed the best dinner in Rome last night. My son is vegan so it is difficult to find variety for him, but at Fontana do Verere is was easy and he throughly loved it. He had the fettuccine with green beans vegan style. My husband had a meat dish stuffed with cheese and vegetables, I had eggplant fried, a... More

Going on Christmas eve - for a Dane - is very special. Nothing about the visit was special though. We didn't get any bread for the antipasti, which consisted of cured meats and cheese. It was okay, but nothing special. After that we waited... and waited... 45 minutes later we asked the waiter kindly if the first course was underway?... More

What a pleasant surprise. This place is close but tucked away from the Trevi Fountain. Their 4-course 4 Course Xmas menu was incredible. For the quality svc and the food, I thought 40 euro per person was very reasonable! We wanted our last night Iin Rome to be special and this place made my day!

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
