I just happened upon this restaurant when I was exploring the area around my hotel The Mechenate Palace and noticed 2 'green lights' for travellers: people were queuing for a table and locals were also eating there! As a consequence, I ate there most evenings...More

Our B and B recommended this. Great experience. Moderate prices, and good selection. Service was very good. I had a superb vegetable soup. Normally, my wife doesn't like vegetable soup, but she ended up taking half of mine. I also had a divine Veal Scampi....More

This food is second to none! I'm the biggest critic out there with 20+ years of my Nonna's authentic Italian cooking every day pretty much! That flavour...the authentic taste that even my none Italian friends say, 'this is what Italian food really tastes like' -...More

Perhaps we had just been unlucky, but during our 4 night stay in Rome the food overall underwhelmed us. On our last night however, this restaurant did Rome a service in providing great pizza and good service! Would recommend.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot

I think they open reasonably, earlier than 7.30pm like a lot of places. We were there about 7.30 but other people were well in their meals by that time. Sorry I can't be more specific.
