As previously described I was one of the unfortunate people in the fore mentioned group who were over charged . After a very enjoyable evening we decided on a late nite cap drink 11.30pm) asked the staff who stated yes we were welcome . First of note , no Baileys , no port so we chose alternatives , 3 Brandy... More

We went with friends and family for a quick drink. We ordered 3 brandys, 3 prossecos and one limocello. For which, we were charged €63.50! €27 for the 3 local brandys even though they were marked as €6 each in the menu and €21 for 3 glasses of prossecco ! to add insult to injury we're charged a €10.50 service... We wanted to find a quiet little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere after wandering around all day so we were checking out the main street. It's customary for the Restauranteurs/waiters in Rome to stand outside and try to grab you're attention as you walk by, some restaurants you literally only have to look at the menu and they're out like... We come every two years for the Six Nations and this us one of the best. The food and wine is first class. If you get served by Arrianna then you will be well looked after. She is the best waitress in Rome......thank you so much for looking after us.

This is a cute little restaurant tucked on the Main Street leading to the pantheon and the staff is really nice and the order arrives pretty fast. The first time we ordered gnnochi with tomato sauce, spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce (yes this exists in Italy) and we also ordered plain foccacia bread which was out of this world.... You can find this little place in one of the side roads right next to the Pantheon. Helpful and friendly waiters, very reasonably priced and lovely tasting food!!

We were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel that served pizza. This place came up on Google maps. We told the waiter we only wanted two share one pizza. He said that they were quite small and pointed to our entre-side plate and said that the pizzas were about that size. We said to ourselves that pizzas that... More

We ordered two take away pizzas as they were packed so we chose not to wait for a table. The staff were helpful and service was efficient but the pizzas weren't great compared to other pizzerias we have visited in Italy.

Stopped here with the family after visiting the Trevi Fountain and the pantheon. Ordered the tasting plate of the day which was a delightful plate of shaved ham and mozzarella served with crusty bread. For main course we have the risotto, ravioli, bruschetta and grilled salmon. The only Criticism about the food was that my wife's salmon was slightly over... More

We were done with the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, so we were just wandering in the streets of Rome in search of a place which looked good. So, we liked this place and decided to have our dinner here. We ordered Lasagna and some lime juice. The lasagna was good but I have had better in India! and unfortunately... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
