After visiting several cities and areas in Italy - Florence, Rome, Liguria and checking out various gelaterias, Grom is definitely in top!

This is a place where an icecream makes sense in all seasons! Look for the taste of the month! This January it was bonnet. A very special chocolate with amaretto from Turin. A real joy. Rush there and get what you deserve. Two years ago Grom was purchased by Unilever but nothing changed. Service was perfect

Reasonable prices, fresh gelato, great, natural flavours. We were relieved when we tried Grom, as our first Gelato was purchased from one of the tourist traps off the Pantheon square, and was a gloopy disappointment. Very highly recommended!

Always consistent, no preservatives, Grom is always my go to for gelato in Rome. They source fresh ingredients, they don't use artificial flavors or preservatives, and you can taste the difference. I have a feeling even some of the well known places use artificial flavors. I have tried all the others listed in guide books, etc. In my opinion, Grom... More

Oh so good! There's really not much more to say! The staff were very kind and allowed us to sample a few flavours before we made a decision. They were all rich and creamy- delicious!

So I spent a month in Italy and have eaten gelato daily. This place is definitely one of the top 3. I had some on the 2nd week of Nov. As I knew I wanted to try three gelaterias, so I only had a small cup w/2 flavors: candied chestnut and flavor of the month: wine w/biscuit. The candied chestnut... More

It was a cold wet November day in Rome, so not many people were after gelato. We opted instead for a hot chocolate each, my wife got the milk chocolate variety & I went for a dark chocolate one, being a hardcore dark choc fan. Or so I thought. At first I was a little unimpressed with the quantity, the... More

We saw the line and then I remembered reading about this place. We had ours in a cup and sat down in plaza and people watched. Very good gelato.

We visited Grom for gelato with panna – freshly whipped cream for a perfect end to the lovely evening. The whole experience was idyllic

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
