A nice stop in a walking tour of Testavere Recommended by another guide It was fun to look and find this place. Biscotti and pastries are excellent and reasonable priced. Feel like you are in old Rome

Now that we are home and had just had the final cookie from this place do we realise that we bought way too little! We got a nice assorted bag with two of each cookie to share and sample, but that's not nearly enough because they are all so darn good. We should've visited this place daily while in Rome,... More

My friends and I found this place by chance and it became our local hang out. The lady who runs it is so friendly, and very understanding of a group of uni students who can't even make it out the door before they need to buy more biscuits! Repeat visits are mandatory to ensure you taste every single one from... More

While I lived in this neighborhood, it was many months before I discovered this bakery! The owners are so sweet and the food is delicious, I recommend trying a few different items. Authentic cannoli on the quiet side of Trastevere. Stop by Santa Cecilia in Trastevere while you're in the area.

This bakery is off the main drag and delights with two windows full of tiny beautiful cookies. The staff are wonderful and the cookies are incredible. We walked off with an assortment and only wish we could bring boxes home. Amareti, jam filled delights, marzipan, and more. Don't miss it.

I just stumbled on this bakery, had not looked it up on any travel guide -- just walking along the quiet streets of Trastevere, and there it was, looking very unassuming but also very inviting. A window display with lots of different cookies, and something about it just said -- you have to try these! It's not at all fancy,... More

I usually don't like cookies but this is so so good. The woman in the shop is very nice and speaks little bit of english. I bought a small box of different cookies to bring home after trying one of it and maybe I have to go there again before I eat the whole box alone... :)

Any time I am in the Trastevere area I stop to Biscottificio Innocenti, ending up coming back home with a large supply of goodies. High quality ingredients, traditional and creative recipes, and courteous owner/pastry maker. The bakery has still an ancient stove to cook in the old fashionable way. Pay a visit, you will become regular. Ogni volta che sono... More

Excellent products for snacks and munchies. The cookies and small salty goodies change with the season and festivities

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
