This restaurant is not touristy but where the locals eat! It is packed and it is good and great value! Food was tasty and home cooked and wine lovely, though don't expect wine glasses! Location is footsteps from the Colosseum though you don't get ripped...More

Although this place is by the Colosseum it is not touristy, nor a rip off. We were a party of 7 and ate really well and had a great evening. The food was tasty and good sized portions and traditional local food. It is not...More

We came there on the late evening. We couldn't find another open place. This was still full of people. Meal was very good and cheap. Staff could be more polite, but they had a lot of work cause of lots of PPL.

As much as I agree with the sentiment of the negative reviews, we found the food to be of a reasonable quality but expensive - this is not surprising as this place is not far from the Colosseum. The annoying characteristics of this "restaurant" go...More

Tried the Carbonara here, average food nothing special, definitely tourist prices and a very small portion. I was still hungry when I left that my partner and I nipped into a local patisserie and ate a cheap Calzone back at our our appartment, much more...More

ok, so not uber trendy,,,but the locals are in on this place and so were we. Funky, outdoors, attentive staff and reasonable food.Tucked away near S Giovanni Laterno. Nice, simple and honest.

Probably the rudest staff in all of Rome. Service is unacceptably bad, slow and rude, food is bad too. I recommend for people to give this one a pass.

For coffee... Fine. Otherwise this over priced and mediocre sandwich place has poor service - the waitress was too busy smoking and talking on the phone to serve - that must be dependent on unwitting tourists for their income. Sad what was a neighborhood institution....

Went to the cafe during morning after photoshoot, tried the cafe latte...it tastes superb and only cost €1.6, and went there again for dinner...this time everything tasted horrible, the pasta, pizza and even coffee...maybe due to the different people serving it :(

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
