Best gelato I have found in 4 months while living in Rome. It is located across the river in the Trastevere area. I have been to many different gelato places, but none compare to this place, AND all the other places are at least €2.00 or more than what this place charges you. Maria is the owner, and she is... Very nice ice cream! Recommend the almond flavour and the proper waffle cone, for 1euro more it makes a perfect experience.

We had pistachio & lemon sorbet and were really great. One of the best gelato I ever had. I recommend it if you pass by Trastevere.

A small & amazing ice cream Gelateria in Trastevere. Fill your cup with as much flavors as you want. Rich & delicious taste. Absolutely superb! Don't miss it if you visit Rome especially if you visit Trastevere.

Hidden just across bridge into Trastavere this gelato is the real deal. I had 50/50 lemon and cheesecake. One of the single best ice cream moments of my life. Sigh.

While in Rome, we tried gelato all over the city, and this was one of our favorites. The gelato is deliciously creamy, the flavors are fresh and tasty, and the portion sizes are generous. If you like ice cream, don't miss this place.

This place is definitely not one of your average ice cream place. Authentic taste and affordable price. Would totally recommend!!

Tasty gelato and nice selection of flavors. Staff was also friendly. We stayed across the street and stopped by nearly every day we were in Rome!

Good gelato when in and around Trastevere area. We found it was always worth going to find a good gelato place instead of having desert in a restaurant. Also handy location for catching a tram back across the river. Good selection of flavours, reasonable price and generous portions. Open late so we had time to explore after dinner before having... We went here after being hugely disappointed with the ice cream we got from a restaurant earlier in the day. This place is leagues beyond what we had there. Creamy and tons of flavors to pick from. Staff was friendly and price was reasonable.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
