Absolutely bad service. The waitresses served us in a rush and took our dishes quickly without even paying attention. There is no menù and they don't take good care of the customers. Pasta with pesto was tasteless. I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm sorry but this ain't good. Low budget pizza and people working there aren't that nice. Try again, boys!

We went here as it was close to our hotel and recommended. It is not the sort of place that fits the typical tourist bill - it's a neighbourhood restaurant with basic decoration, and doesn't really cater for the tourist ie it's not the usual "Italian" fare of pasta and pizza, and English is a hit and miss affair. The... More

We visited this restaurant by chance as it was just across the road from out hotel. We walked past and were not sure what to expect from the outside but we went in to have what was probably the best meal on our short holiday to Rome. It was very busy but we were seated and served quickly. The pasta... More

A very good neighborhood Trattoria with attitude. We ate in the lovely outdoor patio on our first day in Rome. The other diners were mostly local business people so we were under dressed. The service was friendly and efficient but we didn't speak enough Italian to ask reasonable questions. They apparently do not normally use menus, but he dug up... More

This Trattoria is hidden gourmet gem. We were lucky enough to experience an authentic Italian Lunch. There is no written menu, it changes daily. My husband I had spaghetti a vongole, quite the nicest clans I have ever tasted. My sons pasta was demolished, penne with a spicy pork sauce. We shared three deserts, all equally delicious, one made by... More

Trattoria Cotto e Magnato is a fantastic family run restaurant without any ego whatsoever. I'm a little reluctant to post a review, as this restaurant is a hidden gem that I want to keep all to myself, but the owners Marco and Alba really do deserve to be acknowledged for sticking to their principles to only producing fresh and authentic... If you are looking for a real roman cusine trattoria, this is the good one. Almost no turists, roman clients, and very good food. Be pacient to understand the menu, as it is always, as we say "as a song".... Do not forget to call and book a table in advance (on the day is good), as it is always... More

This great trattoria took a 15-20 minute bus ride from Central Rome to get to. However, we got a taste of what non touristy food in Rome should be like. Service, ambience and food was fantastic. Two pastas, one main- veal/ ham/carrot/spinach rolled up, and a desert was 35 euros. Grocery shop nearby where we bought some great snacks, fresh... More
