Initial impression was good...simple decor but clean looking. But then the passive arrogance took over and what was positive soured. Owner was irritable, server pissed at life...both annoyed at any interaction. The food was totally not special. I had an expensive three shrimp in dry...More

Came three times but could not get in so went for lunch instead. Not disappointed. Modernized food with a French twist. Will come again when in Rome. Try these below.

We were walking to sites and happened upon Sofia. The staff were extremely helpful and the pasta fabulous! A perfect lunch stop on a hot day - recommend the Grillo white wine for refreshment!

The best bread I have ever had in a restaurant. The food and service are excellent. We found reviews on all sites to be a bit unreliable. This is a gem! Don’t know why it isn’t waiting list every night.

Very tasty food, particularly the pasta, but likewise the seafood and meat dishes I had on two successive nights. Very good value and service, and comfortable ambiance. Good local wine by the glass too.

A couple blocks from P Spagna and you can enjoy a quiet meal on a cute side street. The service was efficient and gracious. The clientele was mixed tourist and Italian. Menu was modern Italian and tourist level prices, but worth it. They had a...More

This was wonderful! Best meal we’ve had in all of Rome! The service was great & it’s a little hidden away from the crazy bustle of tourists at the Spanish steps. I had the “Strozzapreti amatriciana” & it was wonderful! Our waitress was lovely and...More

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos,
goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross

the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle
Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque
parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty
face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural

Sofia is our pet dog and mascot,…. a friendly and loving Jack Russell who accompanies us in our adventures. This is why we decided to give our most precious project her name! An intimate, family-run restaurant with very few rules of thumb: a menu which respects the seasons, using the finest of Italian produce, always fresh every day; traditional Italian recipes together with other dishes specially created by our chef, and inspired by the flavours and colours of Mediterranean cuisine; our desire that your lunch or dinner take place in intimate surroundings and make you “feel at home”.
