I'm really sorry to say, that this restaurant is not open anymore! We were really disappointed as we were staying next door to it and it had very good ratings! 😔

Food is always fresh and great tasting! Pasta, pizza, fish, wines, defined with great care and wisdom. Located in a quiet position where you can always find parking! Recommended

The restaurant Poverty and Nobility , in via Casilina 7 has, for two years, changed ownership and name has changed, acquiring new words Pantanella the restaurant . Choice, this, given the will to confirm the spirit, the history and the future of the complex where it is located. For many, in fact, this reality of Pantanella is evaluated as one of the best recovery interventions of "industrial archeology" in Rome and it is our intention, therefore, to work in the spirit that has characterized the renewal. The restaurant has seen in recent years several management changes that have perhaps debased the strong potential that today we intend to recover and enhance also in order to exploit this portion of the "neighborhood" that in a sense marks, in its particularity, the boundary between two different urban areas, the center of the city on one side and the other suburbs. The relaunch of the structure will be based on innovative proposals and authentic: the element of distinction will be identified in the pursuit of quality and in the proposal of those treasures made of genuine products and characterizing flavors, spices and herbs neglected or even unknown. To direct the structure there will be me, Carlo Mancosu, my commitment has always been dedicated to cultural diffusion, although in a different context, as the publisher. A coadiuvarmi in this particular challenge a professional staff that has the task of being able to combine and enhance the art of Sardinian cuisine, or rather of the Mediterranean. The restaurant currently has already undergone a visible transformation in reset of the spaces in order to create a more welcoming and comfortable; outer space, made wider and hospitable thanks to an elegant gazebo surrounded by flowers, summer days can ensure the proper isolation from the busy street Casilina and at the same time allows you to enjoy an evening outdoors. The external structure is able to accommodate about 120 people, is therefore also ideal for banquets and receptions, and can be used even in winter, as it is heated. Inside the gazabo is also given the opportunity to smoke. The dining room has about 90 seats. It is beautifully furnished and made comfortable by the diffusion of selected music. Equipped with air conditioning system can be used both in summer and winter. As for the quality of food selected, is ensured by daily supplies of fresh catch of the Tyrrhenian and exclusively "of the sea"; and once a week, in addition, the fish comes from Sardinia (from the sea of ​​Oristano) that is proposed by the chef special dishes that highlight the uniqueness. To complete the offer and in order to ensure the choice of selected products, it was decided to introduce certified meats that are cooked with proposals made to "grill" wood. It was also further improved and varied while the high quality of the pizza cooked in a wood oven, made with sourdough and check using "yeast". The local, finally, has a rich and varied wine cellar, which allows the tasting of special varieties, ranging from the most exclusive Italian regional productions. The ultimate goal to be achieved is to provide, in a pleasant space, the best value for money.
