Our hotel recommended Il Bacaro....and the rest of their suggestions had been spot on....and whilst Il Bacaro was good, it didn't quite deliver for us. The restaurant is not the easiest to find, tucked away down a small street and is tiny....maybe 25 covers....but with...More

We read a book review that was rather good. Menu looked interesting so in we went. On the positives the wine was fantastic and so was the pasta. Negatives however outweighed the positives. Game dish was littered with bone fragments more like roadkill than butchery...More

My wife and I have been here a number of times, but I have to admit the last time was a few years ago. We first started going because the risotto was divine. As far as I can tell they have moved away from that...More

We ate here for lunch on Christmas Eve. The meal was INCREDIBLE. The winner, without a doubt, was the pasta with truffles. It is so decadent, though, that I would recommend ordering a couple of plates as an appetizer to share with a large group.

In a nice corner of Rome we discovered this amazing place. An unusual and surprising amazing menu, full of fantastic flavors that mix italian traditions with a wonderful creative taste. Absolutely in my "to do list" in Rome

Amazing roast and excellent service. We definately will be back xx I loved the shared platters for vegetables and the best gravy. We followed roast with puddings I would have liked a few more marshmallows and meringue bits but that's just me being greedy xx

A disappointing end to a lovely holiday in italy with dinner at Il Bacaro. The food was average at best, tasteless at worst. My wife had the cod fish cannelloni which has fine in the middle but the past was dry and uncooked at the...More

Thanks for the review. We are sorry for the Risotto, our fish is always fresh and it's strange that it didn't taste. For meat we always choose the first quality, surely it must have been an unlucky case. We hope you go back to find...More

Great restaurant with a nice and cosy atmosphere. Had a great starter (tuna tartar) a spectacular Filet with fresh Tartufo and chocolate with caramel and expresso as dolci. Thank you for your nice and friendly service. We will come back, again!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We stumbled upon it for lunch and the waiter, service, and food were fantastic. We decided to return for our last night in Rome dinner and it did not disappoint. I look forward to returning one day.

We dined here two years ago, and loved it, so obviously we decided to go back again considering we are in Rome now! Everything went wrong this time around, not only the fish that was highly recommended by the owner smelled fishy, but it was...More
