Lovely place staffed by wonderful guys. Antipasti to die for - specially provided. Veggie option chosen was a huge plateful. Quality of cooking excellent and charitable aims of enterprise laudable. Prices reasonable. Bit off beaten track but well worth a visit.

We went to this restaurant late in January. We found a warm and cozy familiar environment with very polite and efficient personnel. It was nice to be together with disabled waiters the Locanda is aimed to integrate. Our pizzas were made by an original mixture of durum and soft wheat. There were tasty and spiced. Supplìs and courgette flowers were... More

I went to La Locanda dei girasoli for a dinner with my friends and I was positively surprised by the professionality and kindness of the staff added to the originality of the dishes. It’s a place mainly attended by locals, but I would advise it to tourists wanting to go away from the traditional routes.

This place was the highlight of our trip to Rome. We had a delicious meal, served by the most friendly and courteous staff. It really was heart-warming. The staff were thoroughly professional, and it was a joy to learn more of how this restaurant has trained and encouraged people, who many years ago would have been written-off. We had a... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our landlady. The restaurant is hidden in a small alley near Numidio Quadrato. We would not have found it if we had not had specific directions. The atmosphere and the service were excellent. We spoke no Italian and the owners spoke no English. Nevertheless we made ourselves understood well enough. The bruschetta was ok... More

The restaurant is almost hidden in a small alley. It was recommended by our landlady but if you don't know where it is, it may be difficult to find. Hats off to the owner for giving an opportunity to people with the Down Syndrome to prove their skills and integration to our society. Delicious pasta and pizza and service with... More

The restaurant is tucked away on a side street off of Tuscolana. Probably better to take the subway and get off (Numidio Quadraro) then a car because it takes a lot of one way streets to get there BUT sooo worth it no matter how you come. The food is amazing. We had a mixed antipasto dish with yummy treats... More

It's a fair way from the city center and not the easiest place to find from the METRO, get the A line to Numidio Quadrato station and take Via dei Sulpicito, take a right on to Viale Opita Oppio, then take your first left (road sign shows Via dei Sulpicito again here) and continue down to the end (don't take...
