We stumbled across this restaurant down a quiet side street. It was packed inside but we were happy to sit in the enclosed area outside the front. We ordered the pasta of the day, fettuccini with chicken livers and gnocchi with basil and tomatoes. Both were clearly home made and really good. Both also good value at 12 and 10... More

This was some of the worst food we encountered in Rome. Two veal dishes, one with lemon and one saltimbocca, were swimming in a tasteless floury sludge. The lemon one had never seen a lemon and the other resembled a salty wallpaper paste. Two other pasta dishes were similarly bland. When it came to pay the bill and we remarked... More

It was the only rainy day during our 8 day visit to Rome, so we kind of stumbled into this restaurant to take cover from the rain during lunch time. What a nice surprise! The restaurant was completely full, mainly Italians, but they managed to find us a table in a corner. The service was nice and the food was... More

This place was packed on a Wednesday for lunch in January. All the wait staff were very busy but still our waitress had time for questions and a bit of personal talk. The bread was delicious and served to whet our appetites. For the first plate, I had fettucine with chicken livers, my wife had tagliolini with truffles...both very, very... More

Another restaurant recommended by local friends & well worth a visit. 4 of us had lunch mid- week & a variety of dishes from pasta to veal - all VG. The wine list is like a phone book & the sommelier recommended a VG & reasonable Barbera. Tables are tight & limited leg room. By the time we left place... More

Every time we come to Rome we return to this gem of a restaurant that serves the most authentic Roman food in this area. Last night I had the fresh pasta with artichokes and black truffle which was sensationally delicious, followed by the lamb stew with artichokes....can't wait to come back!

The first night we went they had no free table so we reserved for the next night. The lamb with arthicoke, pasta , the pear in wine sauce.... etc.. very delicious. A very thick wine list but just ask for locals. Very good taste. Definitely would like to go again...

Small restaurant, with small number of guests. Food is amazing. The service is good too. They aren't weird like in some restaurants. Do try. They are good for roman style pasta.

As others have stated, we dined here on the advice from a local. In our case, it was our young driver who picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel. He stated that he and his family ate here about twice a month and it was very good. Food and wine selection was very, very good.... More
