We ran into this place because the restaurant we were looking for was closed. VERY friendly, fun, wide selection of tapas, good prices, seems popular with the locals. Good wine. Owner brought us fresh food for free from kitchen. Lovely evening!

We ate here 3 out of 6 nights of our stay. They had a buffet, but also offered a few pasta specials each night. The specials were always delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was casual. It was a few doors down from our hotel, so we went the first time because it was convenient, and kept going back... More

It is a very good place for a night out with friends. This restaurant is situated in a very lively student zone of Rome, there are always plenty of people there. We have been there for an "aperetivo" with my friends, and everyone remainde satisfied with food, drinks and service. The ambience is very cosy and casual. Here you feel... More

We had lovely service at this restaurant and the most amazing meal of our trip. The carbonara was life-changing, the saltimbocca and tartufo were very, very delicious. Price was perfect. Lovely place. We dream of going back.

Appetizers where ok, but our pasta took more than an hour to be served and they were more than al dente.... Service also was a very bad experience...

Just popped by a rainy night and drank some beer. Very nice atmosphere, nice staff and what I saw top quality collection of wine and beers - worth a try!

I've been there with a friend: the place is cool, the owner frinedly and the food is good. Nice experience.

You may have a good quality of bottle of wine and a plate of various cheese with 55 Euro. The price of the wines are starting from 15 Euro and go up...I liked atmosphere and service very much. It is expensive but not too much. You may have a look and decide yourself. You may smell the atmosphere without ordering... More

Cool place just in main square in busy san lorenzo. The aperitif time deal is not as rich as it could be. Cold reception staff not exactly very friendly

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
