Pizza crust was burnt (burnt segment could be eaten around), cheese in the spaghetti dish was burnt (the whole dish tasted burnt and unpleasant). Tiramisu tasted as if it was made from expired products. Waiter was quite nice, but forgot to offer the dessert (that was part of the order). Wouldn't visit twice. (Even once, if I could turn back... We have been here once before and decided to return as it was so nice the first time. The food tastes very fresh and seems authentic (we're english). The staff took good care of us despite becoming extremely busy, we arrived at 7pm and from about 7.30pm it became very busy with all tables occupied. We would return and recommend.

this place was recommended by staff @ the ROMA RESORT COLOSSEUM for dinner but what a letdown. my husband and i each had a pizza but i swear these were the frozen ones by dr. oetker which would have been fine if they were only 3 bucks but at 8/9/10 euros.....GROSS. so glad we didn't take the other recommendation of... Great value for money. Excellent service, tasty food. Highly recommend this place. As a part of a deal from the hotel it was 5€ per person for a full buffet breakfast.

This place was near our hotel and we found it walking around. It didn't look like much and there's not much else to choose from. But we were very happy with our food, it was amazing!! We had bruschetta, cabonara - which has been the best in Italy in 10 days! The wine and beer was excellent too. The service... More

There is nothing special with this place. The prices are a bit above the performance. The housewine is OK, the pizza is also on the level of the Rome average. The service could be a bit more kind.

Dropped in on the way to appointment at Machete Barbers (excellent!) . Great pizza & great friendly service. Wish we had more time for a longer visit. Recommend!

We had two pizzas and two beers here on our last night in Rome. Service was great, the waiter was up for a laugh which I found surprising as he was sweating buckets running around the place, looked like the only waiter in the entire place. So hats off to you unnamed waiter man. The food I'm afraid was a... More

This was a last minute choice as our 1st choice was closed for august. It was great. My daughter and I both had pizza and they were really nice. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Definitely recommended.

After visiting various sites on our Amalfi Coast tour, we made our way to Rome and had our farewell dinner with our tour group at this restaurant that was just down the street from our hotel. We had a large group of twenty people and they handled everything well, and the food was great by all comments from our group;... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
