We want to said goodbye to Rome, we went to the zoo and its looks like a wonderful non tourist area and we look for a good place, so we came to this restaurant, the service was impecable, the food was outstanding and the selection of wines and Proseccos was wonderful too. The deserts were very good as well.

One of our party had lived in Rome in the 70's and recalled this restaurant as a favorite. Our hotel immediately know it and indicated that the high standards remained and made us a reservation. Our dinner was terrific and the service top drawer. It's pleasing to know that quality can sustain through 57 years of operation!

Excellent pasta, delightful agnello al forno or capretto; it really was a very pleasant experience for an Easter lunch. Service perfect and very friendly , I will certainly come back another time.

We came here twice is one week, the second because of how amazing the first time was. The staff is over-the-top friendly and took excellent care of our very large party. the second time was for my mom's birthday party. They let us come early and put out special decorations, and were cool with us bringing our own cake. Their... More

Went with my family after being recommended by the hotel. People were friendly but the food was average for Rome. Did the hard sell on fish, got our starters wrong (very average caprese ), calamari fried in oil that tasted old. We looked forward to the pasts but sadly it was again very average. Nice people but average food.

I visited Ambasciata d'Abruzzo a few weeks ago, as part of a large group, that included, English, Spanish, French and Italians, and even though we numbered more than 20, we ate incredibly well. Because our group was so large, we all agreed with the staff that they should bring us a selection of antipasti, which included a great combination of... More

A business acquaintance brought us here, quite sure we could eat at any time. While he and his colleague recounted the excellent antipasti and fish they had eaten, the waiter couldn't get rid of us fast enough. We were allowed "3 things from the antipasti counter", and as we ate they started to turn out the lights. We ate our... More

Very charming waiters but we were not wowed by the food. We have had better Italian in New York, Boston, or Providence. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but because of the reviews here we decided to go so I feel it's only fair to caution others on this site.

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
