We had an excellent meal at a reasonable price. We split a caprese salad in which the cheese tasted like it had just been made today and the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and sweet. We also split a pepper pasta. My husband had a dente fish and I had the eggplant. The fish was exceptional and the eggplant was very... More

Booked online, didn't receive 20% discount but more importantly the service and attitude of the staff was appalling. Rude and obnoxious. Only offered a drink once, did not ask if we wanted anything else. Food was very mediocre at best. Was not made to feel welcome at any part of our visit. The money for the bill was snatched from... I guess Mario showed proof that they have their ups and downs, this time. The waiter had really a bad day, twice forgetting parts of our order, and twice forgetting to ask all four in our party what to order. The food was good, but service was absolutely lot standard.

The food and wine was amazing and the service outstanding! We had 4 courses and everything was great. The waiter took very good care of us, without being too much.

Full of local people, very quiet. Good quality food. Highly recommended for an evening meal. A bit boring inside, but you will be all inside your plate, as the food is amazing!!!

Came here our first night in Rome at the hotel's recommendation. It was pretty good. Totally authentic, great service, lovely ambience, etc. We had been traveling for 20+ hrs, so in fairness they were not given a clean look. We liked it and would return. The eggplant and all pastas were exceptional. I will typically go with a recommended dish.... More

Used to be classier and busier, especially at lunch time. It is a bit less polished nowadays, but still serves good food (not amazing) and offers good service.

Our tour guide recommended this amazing jewel of a restaurant! We almost left as the restaurant was quiet and only had a few locals.. Once we realized it was a Monday evening and early, we decided to stay. Great decision on our part as the meal was amazing. Our waiter suggested a sampler of traditional dishes which were all amazing.... More

I never go to Rome without having AT LEAST one lengthy dinner in this splendid restaurant. It embodies all that is best in Italian dining. Located just steps from the Spanish Steps, off the Via Del Corso, in the throbbing heart of Rome, it is a perfect spot for a perfect meal amid knowing tourists, Italian politicians and movie personalities.... Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
