The food here is good, and the atmosphere was nice. We had 2 pasta dishes and a bottle of water (to split 2 ways): 28 euro. I noted the soft drinks are a little extortionate (5 euro per drink). Bread was average and could've used some oil and vinegar... it was on the table, but nobody ever brought us small... More

Our last visit to Antica Enoteca was in 2013, so for old times sake, we had to go back as our last experience was excellent. Even though this restaurant is located in the field of the touristy restaurants there is no one standing outside trying to entice you inside, most of the places with tasteless food will do that. We... More

We ate here twice and enjoyed it both times. Service was quick and attentive. The only thing I would suggest is that they chill their sparkling water, it was warm. Otherwise, food was amazing; we tried pizzas, pastas and meat, all were very good.

Even though this restaurant is located slap bang in the middle of the Rome tourist trap, it is probably one of the few restaurants in this area which maintains its authentic Italian roots. Service is good even though the staff appear to flit frantically between kitchens and tables. Food just excellent with probably the best Tiramisu I have ever eaten.... More

In the main downtown of Rome, close to Piazza di Spagna, this Enoteca remind the old style wine delivery shops. You may still see the old white marble wine deposit with the holes for the ancient wine tap (faucet). Roof in wooden and bottles of wines every where. Great selection of wines from all over Italy. Priced medium/high. Good finger... More

We had lunch here. It looked like a nice vibrant hub. It took over 25 mins for someone to take the drinks order. We ordered a flan for starter -8 euros. It did taste good but it was no bigger than a small cupcake. Simply extortionate. We had pasta for mains. They tasted ok but we were far from blown... More

We dropped by spontaneously completely frozen from the rain. The staff was very friendly and super attentive - they served hot water with lemon and sugar although this was not on the menu to warm me up :-) It was the best pasta of my life!!! Nothing more to add... Pizza and tiramisu as well amazing! We were incredibly happy... More

Enjoyed sitting outside on a side street with 2 friends for a casual dinner in the heart of Rome. Nice suggestion by the waiters on wine and a bite. Very good service.

On Via del Croce near the Spanish steps. Had been here before and it luckily is still the same. Love the wine (and food) selection, the decor and the fact that they have an actual sit down bar with a lot of seats. Great spot to chill with a wine or two you have not tried and nibble on some... We visited this establishment twice during our stay in Italy. Our first encounter was by chance and we popped in for a pre dinner drink which was fantastic. The red wine by the glass was suggested to us by the bar staff and we received a delicious antipasti plate to accompany our wine. The atmosphere sitting up at the bar... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
