Thoroughly enjoyed the two meals we ate here. Imaginative food (wonderful home made bread) served by knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Outstanding local restaurant. We had the degustation menu. Dried meats to start, two types of pasta, pork tenderloin and two types of dessert together with recommeded Bolognese wine. Food was to die for and the owner and waitress made us so welcome. Can't rate highly enough

My wife and I had the €50 seafood degustation menu and enjoyed all of the dishes. The service was also very good and friendly. We chose a nice crisp Pinot Grigio from the excellent wine list.

The quality of food and exemplary service made this a meal to remember - the best we had in Bologna.

This is one of my secret treats when in Bologna - even though it was recently reviewed by Rick Stein I don’t think many people could find it easily. It IS tucked away in the backstreets but from first to last it was wonderful. Normally I go by myself but as my children are older it was time to introduce... More

We wanted to have a sea food dinner so chose Ciacco after reading reviews and were not disappointed. We don't know much about Italian wine and our host was most helpful. Attentive service and to expensive.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff and is a very short walk from the Corona D'Oro hotel. It was a beautiful place, quite quaint, the main dining was in a cellar and the staff were friendly, highly competent and worked their socks off. The food was fabulous. We ate fish (Mackerel, sole, sea bream and gurnard) all of... More

Really good food (starters and main) and pretty bad coffee. Impressive old looking arch cellar, loud strange crowd, slightly arrogant service. I should try it again at another night.

Stunning food served by a kitchen which really knows its stuff. Situated down a side street off a main drag, Ciacco is a wonder! Loads of local delicacies, prepared with care and served with the right level of attentiveness. We were blown away by all of it, as well as the stunning Pignoletto which the waiter recommended to us. It'll... More

The restaurant is downstairs in a cellar with the original stone work showing. It is relatively small and apparently run by a father and son. Although the menu has a section clearly marked as the standard Bolognese dishes, as the staff make clear, this is really a fish restaurant. As you would expect, there are specialities of the day, which... More
