Best gelato I've ever had - in Italy or anywhere else. Delicious. Went there every day of my Bologna trip. Try focaccia con gelato for a real 'ice cream sandwich'! Most definitely worth the little extra walk to get there.

One of the best ice-cream in Bologna. Really friendly and nice owners driving the shop every day. Not really in the traditional "touristic" planned tours, it deserve a little detour.

I have had genuine, quality gelato a number of times, in Italy and other places. This was hands-down the best, tastiest, smoothest gelato I or my wife have ever had. Period. Worth the trip from the city center.

My family's enjoyed great gelato in many parts of Italy and beyond. This may well be the best. Definitely the best zabaione (think something like eggnog with a bit more spice) I've ever had, hands down, including Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, or anywhere else. As others have said, two types of pistachio - one salty and one sweet - and... More

Asked for the charming young lady's recommendation. She gave me a cup coated in a sort of chocolate hazelnut like syrup, then flavour 1 was pine nut and flavour 2 was mascarpone. Freaking out of this world. Better than any I have had in Firenze and I had a mild emotional experience. I'll be there at least 10 times in... More

Best ice-cream ever! I came here as part of the Taste Bologna tour and we tasted x4 flavours, I chose: 1) Stracciatella 2) Red Grape 3) Lemonata di Sorrento 4) Strawberry All were delicious and not like any run-of-the-mill ice-cream really packed with flavour, set a short walk towards the other end of the town, head towards where the 7... The best pistachio ice cream I have ever had! Home made, perfect. Comes in two different flavours - sweet or salty. The salty version came as complete surprise. Never tried salty ice cream before. Even at 11pm customers come in for take away.

I knew Bologna is famous for the good food and especially for the ice-cream, so I tried gelato at many of the cremerias in town. All are outstanding. Créme de la Créme pops up in my mind as exceptional, but the highest price goes to Cremeria Santo Stefano. This old-looking parlor, ideally located, makes the most sophisticated gelatos I have... This is not only the best gelato in Bologna but maybe the best in Italy. I had four different types. One was a strawberry sorbet and you could really taste the fresh strawberries. Another was the hazelnut which was really good. The third was the chestnut which was like getting and eating fresh chestnuts roasted by a street vendor. The... More
