This was very homely centrally located restaurant, waiters were humorous and friendly and made people feel really comfortable. Variety of Italian food was really gorgeous – hard to prevent eating too much.

My wife and I have now eaten at La Traviata on four occasions over three trips that covered most of the regions of Italy. Haven eaten at many restaurants on these three trips, at all price ranges, we still think back on our dinners at La Traviata as being the best .. both in terms of quality and value. The... More

The staff were very friendly and passionate about the food they provide. Had a great meal there and I'd go back there without hesitation. Location very easy from the central square.

Very fortunate to visit yet again this year and the food and service was outstanding as ever. We had the most amazing fresh pastas, delicious local wines which all contributed to a great evening with superb company. Highly recommended

Went to this authentic restaurant with my family. The lady who served us, who we thought may have been one the owners described the food with such passion it made ordering easy. To start we had fried zucchini flowers stuffed with mozzarella which were mouth watering. Followed by fresh homemade pasta in a variety of styles. We were all blown... More

I took my family to this restaurant for the tortellini, which was excellent, as always. We asked for an antipasti of ham and 5 fried zucchini flowers (there were 5 of us). Unfortunately they brought us a full plate of deep fried vegetables as well. It was a little embarrassing as we didn't eat it. When we mentioned that we... More

a 10min walk from the Cathedral this family run restaurant is simple, cosy and very enjoyable. The Lady who runs it is full of energy and ideas about what you should try. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. This really is a feel-good place and should make you smile

There were lots of pasta plates to choose from. Service was quick and friendly. I had the gnocchi and husband had the tagliatelle with traditional ragu. Both very nice, perfectly cooked pasta, lovely flavours.

This unpresuming restaurant is attached to an osteria and run by the family. The pasta is all freshly made, of course, and their lasagna is an experience like no other. The pasta itself is moist and plump, the meat is also moist and tasty. So there's no need for heavy cream. The whole dish melts in your mouth. I asked... More

From start to finish, everything was perfect - pillowy gnocchi (best we have ever tried), subtle gramigna with sausage, and excellent mains, including a sublime veal roast with brandy, orange, and juniper berries. The owner recommended a great local riserva Sangiovese. All in all, fantastic. Nice atmosphere and and unhurried experience. Mostly local, some tourists, though none of the others... More
