We were staying in Torre Maina with family and was told we were going out for an Agroturismo lunch. Neither my husband or myself new what that meant but wow what an amazing surprise. We sat with a view of the kitchen watching simple tasty Italian food being prepared. Most is grown on or around the estate and could not... More

We had a very good dinner following the suggestion of the waiter to go for the complete tasting menu. We had the chance to eat "a bit" of everything and quantity was indeed more than enough. The locally produced Lambrusco has to be tasted. Great value for money. Recommended!

First of all, the location is simply stunning, set amongst the steep hills of vineyards. It's an old mill, and the sunset hour there is incredible. For the dinner, you get many courses, starting with the region's famous gnocci and tigelli, the fried puff bread with local Italian ham that reminds me of sopapillas that my mom used to make!... We hit on this retaurant as we were driving past the entry. We tried to get a table on two different occasions but the place was always packed out. Logically this encouraged me to try again, third time lucky One of the best restaurants in the area. I would suggest it to everyone. The restaurant itself is beautiful it has... More

Wow wow wow - family style agriturismo where balsamic vinegar is made. Family style dinner with completely fresh stuff made especially for you. We had crespelle with prosciutto cotto, the most divine ravioli with cow's milk ricotta and parmesan. To finish off great selection of 3 cakes. YUM!

That wonderful experience to have dined at this restaurant. It is typically equal we see in movies and read in books about Tuscany. Our group of friends chose a table outside and we were able to enjoy the late afternoon dining dishes typical of the region, starting with Nhoco Frito, Prossuto and other delicacies all washed down drinking Lambruscofrom the... On Sunday, we went for lunch at Il Piccolo Mugnaio farm, in Torre Maina, close to Maranello, a place highly recommended by locals for a so-called proper traditional ‘mangiata’. Kept as a local secret, the farm is hidden in the Apennines surrounding Modena and, even with the sat-nav guiding us, we got the wrong paths several times before we reached... More
