This is a small lovely place in pedestrian zone of Trieste. We just grabbed the ice cream. As an ice cream fan I was delighted that there are no fruit ice creams, just all sorts of chocolate ones. For me that is how the ice cream should be :). Definitely worth a try!

This little bar, as the name suggests, is specialized in chocolate-related products. I come here from time to time to have a hot chocolate with spices (ginger or cinnamon are my favourites) and especially pick up small bags of "baci di dama", the best I can find in town as far as I'm concerned. Other chocolate treats are sold too,... More

During the mild winter in January, we were looking for a Gelato place in Trieste. The good reviews for this place sent us in their direction. Happily, it was only a short ten minute walk from the Main Plaza and we found ourselves in a now-lovely, tree-lined park area of the town. Sadly, they told us they don't make the... More

I had hot chocolate in Slovenia, and it was like a thick chocolate pudding. It was really good, but it wasn't life changing. Then I visited Chocolat in Trieste. This hot chocolate is life changing. It looks like straight Hershey's syrup, but it would be insulting to compare this drink to anything American. It was thick, and hot, and some... More

We go to Italy a lot and I eat a LOT of ice cream and I have to say this is the best I have ever had. The Black Forest and the salted caramel are just out of this world. If you like ice cream don't miss this place. I'm going to Trieste today and just realized it's closed on... More

We expected more. The coffee flavoured ice cream was nice enough, but the vanilla wasn't that great. The cones were average, threw the end pieces away.. We prefer waffle cones with a nice ice cream. Price was good though.

It's chocolate; it's delicious, and you should definitely go. We were there in the summer and had read about the great hot chocolate, so we went and ordered some. The barista corrected us "no, no hot chocolate! Cold chocolate! It's summer!" Cold chocolate and a danish were the perfect treat.

The Chocolat is located in the pedestrian area of Trieste and can therefore be easily included in a stroll around the city centre. They offer a big variety of wonderful (mostly chocolate) icecream which you can enjoy on a table on the pedestrian street. Their prices are really justified for what you get.
