After walking to Vernazza from Riomaggiore we obviously desperately needed a gelato. We've reached Vernazza. We've tried numerous gelateria during our Italian holiday. Always trying something different to before. We had the Black cherry, ambrogio (nuts, cream & chocolate) and liquorice. While still nice the gelato were not of the best tasted during our holiday.

I tried the cinnamon gelato and it was spectacular. Definitely one of the best I have ever had in all of Italy. Icing on the cake is the beautiful breeze and views from the lagoon. Recommend cinnamon gelato with a nice cup of coffee or a latte.

None of the gelato places at this town provide samples so it's possible you won't get something you like. We got 2 flavors. One was sort of plain. The cinnamon flavor was amazing! The portion size is reasonable. 2 euros for 1 scoop. The other 2 gelato places in this town were 2.5 euros per scoop and no samples, too.... More

You will not be disappointed. The favours are different, we had liquorice. Very creamy and a good price. Would definitely recommend. Be warned don't eat your treat too close to the crashing waves; we saw plenty of people drenched !!

Must try the cinnamon flavour. We tried the gelato from the place rated number one and this place is definitely better!! service is typical for the region and you'll see what i mean when you spend several days here. The coffee flavour is also really nice. pistachio is okay but yeah definitely try cinnamon

Our tour guides told us about this place, so we thought to give it a try. We tried 3 different flavors, Pistachio, Hazelnut & Chocolate, and all of them were absolutely amazing. Smooth, creamy and full of flavor. We also tried the lemon sorbet, which was equally excellent. Don't miss the gelato from here when in Vernazza. It's a definite... More

We were staying in a room next door, so we took the opportunity to try many flavors of the gelato from here...all were incredible. I usually prefer chcolate or crema, but the amareno cherry was my favorite. Often the lines were long, but they moved quickly. Don't miss the gelato from herre!!!

There are 3 recommended gelato places in Vernazza, but my husband and I couldn't agree with Rick Steves more, that this gelateria down by the harbor is by far the best in town! Even though the weather was a bit chilly when we were there, we could not help but make a stop here twice a day every day, as... More
