On our first night in Genoa we found ourselves in this small, genuine place. No written menu. Waiter explained what was available for starter that night, and what for main course. Atmosphere was unique. We were very friendly treated. It was like visiting a kind italian family. No fish, no seafood. Only meat. Super good tiramisu for dessert! Excellent wines!

I had put this restaurant on my list of possible places for a good dinner. Luckily I had asked the reception at our hotel to make reservation for us in advance because the place was full. This is a small restaurant with around 40 seats, but the service and the quality of the food is outstanding. They only serve steaks... More

We went there Friday night 24th Feb, Owner spent ages explaining what & how they do their steaks only problem is you need to speak Italian, food was to die for and we cant wait to return. Some dishes were very unusual who would ever have steak tartare with honey!! but believe me it really works. Make sure you go... More

The meat was actually good, not super happy about the cooking (asked for rare, came medium), but it is no cheap place at all, and also hard to book. Good service and friendly atmosphere.

Can be difficult to get in as heavily booked by locals. Only way I could get in was to go early (7.15 pm) and agree to be gone by by 8.30 ie first sitting. Like most good steak places they want to cook your steak rare or medium so if you are a well done person maybe not for you.... More

For our second night in Genova we looked for a restaurant on trip advisor and went to Le Mura. we were a little bit early but the very friendly waiter gave us a table and a very good bruchetta to start with! The owner of the restaurant came at the table to tell us the three Maine courses from the... More

I agree with all those reviews which we used to find this place. This is not gourmet, elegant dining. This is a rustic restaurant, a huge Italian welcome from the owner Stefano greeting complete strangers as old friends and serving fabulous red meat, vegetables, desserts and wine. Stefano speaks excellent English and guides you through the delights from his kitchen.... More

It's hard to say if having dinner at Le Mura di Malapaga you will enjoy more the fantastic Italian meat or the unique warmth of the hosts, Stefano and Simona... And don't miss the home made tiramisù!

Found this hidden gem just outside the main port area, was welcomed by the owner who was so friendly and took time to recommend different options on his menu. The steak was the best steak we have had in a long time and was perfectly cooked! Great value for money the potion sizes are large, the quality exceptional and nothing... More
