TERRIBLE, SAD and BAD experience!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, they didn't let me sit inside. They sent me outside (it was cold and I am not smoker), even the place was kind of empty at 2:30 pm. They can charge you a good money for a bleh food (you can try better typical Mantova plates in differents restaurants in the city)... More

There is nice outdoor seating, screened by greenery. The food we ordered was good, if a little under salted. Spaghetti with sardines, small grapes and pine nuts and pasta Norma -- Both Sicilian dishes I think. Service was good, prices were modest. Service, location, and price earn it high marks. Food I would rate just a little better than average.

Located in the heart of Mandova with local and Sicilian cuisine.. A view of the Cathedral church. We went 2 nights and everything we ordered was very tasty, an exceptional dish for my taste (ordered both nights) was ispaghetti with sardines, the best dish i had in Italy. Extra bonus is the service, the second night we ordered the same... More

Nice service, nice people, great food in a small piazza - what else can one ask for ? Especially when most of the really good places are closed - this is one of the few restaurants located centrally which is really good

Lovely restaurant tucked away in a small square behind busy Piazza delle Erbe and Basilica. On a saturday night without reservations we were left with indoor seating, but AC and personal attention by owner made more than up for that. Your choices are between mantovan specialities and sicilian delicacies, everything was delicious and the service impeccable

This is one of the very few restaurants in Mantua where you can dine al fresco. And what an experience that alone is. You'll be seated in one of the most beautiful yet virtually unknown squares in all of Italy. The South façade, the bell tower, an the surviving section of the cloister of s. Andrea's basilica will feel so... More

Set on a lovely little square, with plenty of outdoor seating, Tiratappi is slightly unusual in specialising in both Mantuan cuisine and Sicilian cuisine. The reason for this is that the restaurant is in Mantua, but is run by a Sicilian. We tried some of both the Mantuan and the Sicilian items on the menu, and they were all good.... More

We were at Tiratappi on a Tuesday evening, no reservation in what I would consider prime time, around 8:30 pm. They seated us at a lovely table outside, and it seemed that we were the only non-local diners in the space. Wonderful! We had spent a beautiful day touring the city with a friend, so we were just thinking single... More

This might be described as mid priced but it is tops for food ambiance and service. Lovely quiet square and pretty outside tables. Very convenient for center attractions.
