I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs. Rude staff who slammed plates on the table didn't make an effort at all and gave us 2 Italian menus when they knew we were English. Different treatment for locals. One waiter filled up my partner's wine slammed the bottle down and then walked away from the table straight after... More

Great food, popular with locals as well & reservations must. The daily specials deserves priority. Near the Duomo as well.

Very well located for the Duomo. Dress smart though, as image is important for the maitre'd here if you're to get a table. Service comments from others are fair too - very 'Italian' service (no smile but lots of 'drama'). Not cheap either but great to see all the film and sports stars that have visited....and food is good too.

Visited the restaurant twice: once with a local business partner and once solo. Unfortunately it seems that they have a special treatment for regulars. Not only was the waiter way more attentive but also the servings appeared to be a bit different. The starters for example had some extras which were missing on my seconds visit. I'll probably give them... More

Very unfriendly service personnel! The food is average and much too expensive given the quality. Bad atmosphere in the restaurant.

We four adults had a lovely, low-key meal at what clearly is a local restaurant but draws a wide range of persons. The staff greet many people as regulars and the ambiance is very much a unique restaurant, not aimed at tourists. Service was great and very helpful since we do not speak Italian. Food was excellent.

If you want to get away from the shopping crowds and have your lunch at an old school Milanese restaurant, this is the place to go. It's tucked away on a side street from Corso Vittorio Emanuele. I had a delicious risotto with octopus, a glass of white and coffee the first time and the second time I had tagliatelle... More

The pasta was one of the best meals I've had in Italy. We liked it so much, that we went again the second night. Their excellent white house wine is only mentioned in the Italian language menu (and not the English menu). Our hotel recommended this restaurant.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
