Great service and lovely looking food...shame the taste didnt match it. Some overpowering flavours ruining most dishes.

Nice not overly pretentious place serving modern and contemporary dishes. Little bit too focused on sea food (in my opinion) They have a great wine list. Friendly staff. Food is little bit pricey for the up and coming area.

We stumbled upon Al Pont de Ferr while strolling thru the area looking for a unique dinner. It was highly recommended on Google and did not disappoint. We were a group of 4 and because we arrived right at opening we were able to be seated. We shared all of our dishes and everything was delicious and the presentation was... More

Visited end september, this restaurnat which is in the old canal district in Milan. A bustling district, lacking trees and greeenery but entertaining. The food was top class and most original and was enjyoed by all; the wine was great and the overall pricing was high but good value for the very high food quality. But - and this is... More

The waiters got really rude when we told them we will only have drinks. Fair enough it's a restaurant and not a bar and it was our fault: we didn't check the menu before sitting and some of us didn't like what was offered. Nothing wrong with the place, just personal taste. The waiters could have remained polite though: there... More

We had dinner there - or more accurate tried to, but could not eat a thing exept for the bread because it was so terrible. The appetizers were awful, the ravioli and pastas uneatable too. We ended up eating some bread, paying a considerable sum and eloping to the nearest pizzeria. Do not go there!

We were greeted by a rude hostess. It is obvious that when a reservation is made when the weather is nice in the middle of the summer that we should have a table outside, but it seems the restaurant uses different logic. We were first told that it is fully booked outside, then after making a scene (and by magic... More

We arrived at 8pm which is early in Milan. We had the place to ourselves until around 9pm. But it was no problem. Our friendly waiter created a nice and informal ambience. We had one of the set menus and a wine menu - and they were happy to add a little more wine than just the one glass in... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
