We went to this place, a few minutes walk from our flat, based on good reviews on this site and we weren't disappointed. Although service was a little brusque, it was efficient and the food was fantastic. It was packed late on a Sunday night but they found us a table. Highly recommend this place for fish dishes and I... More

This is a woderful restaurant with great food and very friendly, efficient staff. It is not inexpensive, but eating out in Milan is not cheap. In comparison with prices in similar restaurants, it is good value.

Nice setting, great food. As only drinker I had white wine by the glass, tasted watered down and flat. The food did not arrive all together at the table and the service all around is a bit loud.

Lunch with the family after visiting the Brera markets. Able to get a table for four without reservation. The food is delicious, with a fish "soup" that is more like a stew, a good scampi pasta with nuts and yellowtail carpaccio with avocado puree. Portion sizes are quite generous. Service is good and efficient, although a little impersonal, as is... More

Had the fironetina topped with fresh alba truffles which was excellent. Appetizer was zucchini flowers grilled on a bed of fava. Open wine selection was also top notch. Excellent

Convivial provides a convivial atmosphere, no background music, a nice outlook into Via Ponte Vetero, a church and the narrow streets of Brera, solid food and a reasonable wine list. The service was friendly, professional and helpful. A lovely lunch stop in the Brera.

Thank Lazarus M

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
