Since leaving Miami 6 years ago I havent had such great sushi in all of Europe. Fresh sashimi at the perfect temperature that melts in your mouth. Rolls were fantastic as well. Ill be thinking of this place when in Milan or sure.

We tried the Poporoya Sushi Bar across the road but they were full so we went to their sister restaurant Shiro and were lucky to find a table available. The service was great and we found the quality really good. Nothing fancy but would definitely recommend it. Price is within the average range for Sushi in Italy.

This isn't really as low as 'average' but i certainly would not give it 'very good' either. The sushi was nice and the fish was fresh, but generally it was a simply menu and not particularly special. If the price was lower this would have a higher review, unfortunately for the price (80 - 100 euros per couple) you can... More

Despite the presence of three Japanese sushi chef, the sushi is very disappointing. The key of sushi is rice. The rice is a bit al dente - that's good for Italian risotti but not Japanese sushi! I ordered a mixed sushi set but 70% of the fish was salmon. As real Japanese will tell you, the serious sushi lover doesn't... More

If you love poporoya just get there and enjoy the real Japanese food. You will be delighted from salads to sushi from soups to sweets. Simply excellence. Quite expensive.

we arrived at this crowded place and one nicer waiter found a table for us, but another waiter (not japanese) intervened and sent us away for unspecified reasons, maybe he wanted to keep the table for his own special customers. Very unpleasant situation, better avoid this place and go somewhere else.

If the situation requests it, you have to go to Shiro, a serious, Japanese, traditional restaurant. The food is really good, just like his older but more "bohemien" brother Poporoya. Prices are just a little higher - noblesse oblige - but Shiro has a little surprise for people who want to taste Japanese habits: there is a very small room,... More

Last Saturday evening during a brief weekend trip to Milan we were trying to find a nice Japanese restaurant. We passed by Shiro and my husband entered to ask for a table for four. Seeing that the restaurant was empty the answer was " yes, of course!" As soon as the two waiters, however, had seen our buggy with our... More

Saturday night was a pretty busy night at the restaurant. Being honest food was good. All I have to say is about the service. We have waited almost 45 minutes to get what we ordered and they forgot something too. But of course it can happen with a lot of people. But once we got the check we asked to... More
