I am visiting from New York for work and came here with my friend the other night because it was recommended by a friend. We ordered the yellowtail tartare for our first course- it was not exciting. The fish was fresh but the dish was so boring, just a little chopped up fish mixed with a little guacomole and a... More

My boyf and I stumbled across this restaurant. Its super quirky, the owner is fabulous and the food was even better. The night we tried to go there it was fully booked but the owner was totally accommodating and sat us out the front, he also sat down and went through all of the menu with us non-italian speakers. We... More

My wife and I live around the corner and loved peeping into the museum-like rooms of The Small. The statues, animal heads and eye catching artefacts are one of many reasons to go there. The reviews we read also impressed so we went through the patient task of getting a Friday evening reservation. We were seated quickly and well cared... More

We were greeted by the lovely hosts of The Small, the ambiance was just perfect, a little gem of a place. Loved the atmosphere, decor, design, it was old meets new meets quirky! The food was great. Beautiful flavours and presentation. Had a very nice evening and would be one of my regular spots if I would live in Milan!!

Delicious food and the atmosphere + design highlight the restaurant. I would suggest you to try: straciatella and beef sashimi as starter, and beans and shrimps soup. Leave a space for chocolate torte. Delicious!

I had a wonderful dinner in this special place back in February 2013 when it was virtually a small place with 4-5 cramped tables and you really needed do your homework in order to achieve a reservation. However the decoration, menu, dishes, quality, guests and out-going owner were exceptional. I've heard the space has grown up since then. Will go... More
