The major attraction of this place would be the location. Situated right in front of an amazing church(Santa Maria del Carmine), this place tops my list in terms of ambience. Been there for both lunch and aperitivo. Winter time is relatively bad time for an aperitivo, summer would be good to be seated outside. I prefer the place for lunch,... More

The location is amazing and the cafè very nice. The tables outside in Piazza del Carmine are a real plus and cocktails are amazing. Good aperitivo too, with complimentary food also quite good. A bit pricy maybe but the location is worth it.

You go there for the location because it's in one of the most beautiful squares in Milan. Cocktails are OK though a little pricey. They made us really uncomfortable when we had to pay: no credit cards, only cash and they would not give you a receipt - which is mandatory in Italy. I don't think it's OK to make... More

Well located in Brera right next to the church. The atmosphere is nice and young. The place is very nice for drinks before going out. Definitely recommend.

Service is good and the waiters speak good English. Prices a little high, but considering this area, it is OK.

To be honest, when I was proposed to move to Europe, even though I have always wanted to move to the Old Continent, took me by surprise and wasn´t actually sure if I wanted to live in Paris or not. I know, I know, just like Andy Sachs was told about her job with Miranda, "you have the job that... More

We went there on a friend's recommendation and loved the cocktails and the spread for the aperitif! One of the best Spritz I've had in Milan. It's in a great area with trendy bars & boutique shops! The waiters are super helpful & the service is fantastic!

Brera area is beautiful and great place to spend the morning or the afternoon (well lunch and brunch too). My Italian friend recommended me that if I'm in this area, i should not miss Marc Jacobs café In piazza del Carmine which is located inside Marc Jacobs store. There is food option in the cafè, however we only had coffee... More

Came here for a drink after a meal out in Milan and found the staff friendly and able to warm a baby bottle for my grandson. Drinks and service were wonderful.

This has to be one of my favourite places in Milan. Forget that Marc Jacobs founded the place, because the bar by any other name would serve excellent cocktails. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful in recommending cocktails. One might have imagined that the place might be snooty, however, anything but. The place offers an incredible vibe, it attracts a... More

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
