From Piazza del Duomo (Cathedral Square) you can walk to Piccolo Teatro (Little Theatre) in less than 10 minutes. As you enter the archway to the theatre you will find an inner courtyard and in this historic setting the aptly named Caffe Letterario (Literary Cafe). It is a great location partially secluded from the busy streets just a few metres... More

Indeed the location is gray, in the heart of Milan, at the Teatro Piccolo. It is very close to my working place and I sometimes go there, especially with clients The food is quite good, nothing special but indeed good. The issue is first of all the service, which is incredibly slow especially of you need to go back to... More

Don't bother to visit the place. It is nothing special and the prices are sky high. For cappuccino and orange juice you will pay 10€. I've been living in Milan for few months now and am quite a fan of Italian cappuccino (which I take daily near Duomo) but have never encountered a price that steep.

Under cooked chicken in any restaurant is not acceptable and good indication on quality of other dishes!

You would expect the price tag when you enjoy an Aperitivo in Galleria but the service was disappointing and the state of the restrooms appaling

We just stopped for drinks, a couple of glasses of wine. They were on the expensive side but in my experience, no worse than in any area popular with tourists ant they serve a nice assortment of complementary snacks with the drinks. It was great to just sit, enjoy the wine and watch the people go by in the Galleria.

15 € for a medium beer, and you have to pay covercharge at 7 € at top of this! Find another place to take a rest. We were 2 couples, and ordered 2 small pizzas and 6 beers, and paid 144 €.

This place USED TO serve great aperitivo (expensive but great, worth the money). We went a few times and never left disappointed. That's why we decided to go again last week. Unfortunately, we have now all decided not to go back ever again. The quality and the quantity of the aperitivo have dropped drastically, and the cocktails weren't even good.... More

A superb interior courtyard; The location lends itself to lunches and evening is presented in revised version for the appetizer. Very nice atmosphere of Milan dynamic that takes a break in front of a dish and a dessert. Prices adjusted to the location, interesting dishes and decent wines.

The cafe is conveniently located in the gallery of the famous shopping centre. This makes the place an ideal spot for a cappuccino or a glass of wine. The last comes with free snacks, by the way. As for the service, it is regular. I stopped for a drink at night, considering the fact that they were winding up, the... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
