Mercato Del Pesce is a fish market, literally. When you enter the place you may think "where is the restaurant" and it's at the end of the big hall. They serve fresh fish with big variety. The good news is taste. Everything we had and we had alot was tasty. I suggest mixed seafood plates with inecpensive wine matches.

Ax excellent seafood and fish-based dinner. Octopus and potato dish great. I also tried my friend's tuna dish. Very tender and tasty tuna. Location is not fancy, as actually is part of a fish market stall. But maybe this adds to the athmosphere. A bit pricey, tough.

Thanks for the great review!!! Yeah the idea of a restaurant inside a fish market definitely adds to the "fish experience", we are glad you appreciated it. But since we use the best raw material to go into our dishes these unfortunately cannot be cheap. It's a choice we made since the beginning and your review testifies the fact it... More

This fish restaurant is by far one of my favourite places to eat in my hometown Milan. I've been here in different times and I saw changes in the menu and staff: the quality has remained high. Unlike the majority of restaurants which serve fish, everything here is fresh. If seeing their fishmonger stand before entering the actual restaurant isn't... More

I've discovered again this restaurant after more than 20 years. Was excellent in the past and is very good now. It's placed in a very particular location, under the railway, and probably is one of the uncommon characteristics. The food is very well presented, great fish and there is also a good choice on the wine list. If you love... More

We were staying in a wee hotel just around the corner and were recommended this plaice by the hotel owner. As other reviews note, it is in a Fish Wholesale Market and not in the easiest to find location if your not staying close by. However it is worth finding. As we had a big lunch we were just looking... More

I'd read about this place on Tirpadvisor. Since our hotel wasn't far away we thought we'd take a look and maybe book a meal. The walk to the restaurant from Milano Central station seemed long and was pretty bleak but we eventually found it. Nothin much from the outside but inside was the restaurant. It looked good and the fresh... More

We stayed one night in milan in guesthouse around the area, so the owners recommended this restaurant and it was very good choice. It's a fish market at first (but in evening its closed) and then a restaurant. The decor is simple but nice, laid back atmosphere. Only stylish looking italians who are probably locals. The food is very very... More

You will find a really good atmosphere here, even if you are in an unexpected zone of milan. Inside is quite and confortable; they will treat you well and the food is very good. Hard to find fish recipes so good and so well executed.

While the restaurant is located in a special site , tables are set and nicely decorated - orders arrived at their own free time , too many mistakes on what we received for what we ordered . Wine list is interesting and the wine we selected was very good

Interesting arrangement for this restaurant: the entrance is actually a fish shop and then, in the middle of it, there is like a fish bowl where you can eat one of the best fish in town. Yes the price is not cheap but the atmosphere is rather romantic and the waiters are highly professional, cutlery and plates fit he purpose.... More

To prepare it's dishes the restaurant "fishes" directly from the shop in which it is situated. Freshness and quality of the raw materials are paramount making us an excellent restaurant for raw fish lovers. Various types of raw fish tartars very delicately seasoned, or a vast selection of oysters and clams. Our menu also offers cooked dishes for all seafood lovers, typical italian "prime piatti" pasta dishes such as sciallatielli with sicilian red shrimp, linguine with spicy lobster, tuna tataki and baccala cod Vicentine style. These are only a few of the choices you will find on our seasonally changing menu. Yes because also seafood is subject to the seasonality of it's offerings.
We also do delivery and take away, company dinners and catering.

Neighbourhood Profile
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.
