We were advised by a friend , who lives like us in Vence (south of France) , to go to this restaurant. He goes to Cuneo regularly and his suggestion was absolutely right!!! We had a marvellous lunch (followed the chef’s advise) with an exquisite...wine (Barbera d’Alba 2013) and at a more than reasonable price. Very very friendly people and kitchen at Michelin-star level. People who make one feel welcome and who work with pleasure. Go to Cuneo on tuesday, when there is a big Street market and go to this restaurant , via Roma 37. We enjoyed it!!!! Cornelis HankenMore

It didn’t register at first, but once we took a sip of our wine, we realized why the waiter brought our bottle of wine out already uncorked. It had been a long day and I did not ask about it already being open. However, the...wine did not have a taste that was up to the quality that we have received in this wine region before. We concluded that they spiked the bottle with a cheaper wine than what we ordered. After scrutinizing the bottle, the back and certification labels looked old and crooked, as if they’d been re-glued. We decided not to engage them on the issue because we had not yet received our food, if you know what I mean. Food was good, but portion was small. Restaurant was nice, though, and the waiter was pleasant. Just make sure you make them uncork your wine at the table!More

Not so great like some people say. Nice elegant atmosphere but so high prices, not justify for this food. Small portions and rewarmed meat.. not good. Really disappointing.

Marvelous setting on Cuneo's ancient main thoroughfare. Now under highly experienced husband and wife managers Luciano and Sandra (the chef). We sat in outside cafe section watching pedestrians pass by. Food is classic Piedmonte fare with country cooking influences - very well prepared and presented....Attentive and informed service. Italy's prime minister had dined at the restaurant the previous evening.More

Dear Patricia, it is always painful to receive disappointing comments. I am so sorry. Sandra' cuisine is a mix between tradition and creativity. The dish mentioned it's an example of it. But I am sure you have tasted something else. Trusting you will enjoy future...More

We chose Rostorante Lovera because it belongs to the 'Unione Ristoranti Buon Ricardo'. Our experience here was typical of these restaurants, in order to obtain the prized 'plate', the location is often a little out of your way and you need to order a meal...that you usually wouldn't ... all of which form part of the experience. The service was good, with friendly waiters that easily switch between Italian, English and French, but it is difficult to create atmosphere in a medium sized room with only a few customers. As for the food, we had three (3) courses, starting with the cheese soufflé, gnocchi to start, then a pasta al ragu & the piatto del buon ricordo - tagliatelle all Frabosana-Roaschina. These dishes were middle of the road, but the dessert was superb, a torroncino semi-freddo - the highlight of our meal. We drove from Alba to Cuneo, which took just over an hour. For a town that we had never heard of before (and we have visited Italy 9 times ...) we were pleasantly surprised to find Cuneo well worth a visit.More

We had an ok meal here comprising slad, cheese fondue with black truffles, beef with porcini mushrooms and a choice of puddings (Tarte Tatin was the star). The waiters tried hard and kept offering seconds, which was nice, however compared with other experiences in the...area, this was merely average.More
