On my first visit, we have been guided and advised by the founders and owners of this gelato place. Back then, there was only one location - at C.so Stati Uniti. What got me back then was not only the marvelous taste and array of flavour of the ice creams and dessert specialities, but the involvement and passion of the... More

The voyage into the surprising taste of Indian cusine turned to ice-cream was a taste that 'bought me' immediately. Great set of classic and experimental flavours. We have been in Torino for 21 days and we tried really a lot of gelato, Ottimo is unrivalled. The only one that comes close around the world is Miło.Mi in Gdynia, Poland.

Not long ago, to eat great gelato you had to go to the city center, San Salvario and the Valentino area were lacking a great gelato place. The place is modern and great looking and the gelato is great quality, flavors are carefully thought through, well balanced and sophisticated (in other words: freaking good!). I will be going again and... More

A must try if you find yourself in the neighbourhood. The mango flavour is heavenly and the fruit flavours are made without milk, therefore good for all the lactose intolerant people out there

Probably the best icecream in Italy. Most of icecream producers make them too sweet or too greasy. This one is just perfect. Classic flavours and always some unexpected, surprising flavours.

I've been to Ottimo twice now, and I hope to go back before my trip is over. Last night I had Chocolate with salt, and the Almond Ice cream with freshly chopped almonds. The cone was dipped in chocolate - it tasted like heaven and is called a Penguin, which I was told by Guilio the gelato maker is a... More

There is probably a place to get gelato on every street in Turin, particularly in the walking are around the city center. Ottimo is a few streets off the beaten path, south of Vittorio Emanuele, but close to enough to make the trip. You can get vanilla or chocolate anywhere, but at Ottimo you also have flavors like Honey/Saffron and... More
