I stumbled on this place by accident. I was so happy I did. The beer selection is excellent, especially in Italy. The food choices are mostly German. I had Spatzle and some beef from the daily "menu". It was quite delicious and good value. The service is prompt. I highly recommend it.

From the outside the door looks like the place is closed cause it's quite dark inside, but it's open! Great service and fair price for the dishes..ordered the ribs..delicious and the fries are the best!!! Orders come really fast...we barely ordered and once the drinks arrived, the food came too! We got a table right away since we went to... More

The place is really nice, filled with ambience and history and not too far from the xmas market. Yet the food was probably the worst we had in Tirolo. The canederli tasted like pre-cooked and warmed up, the white sausages were tasteless and the bread too was a bit stale. The canederli with cheese were good and so was the... More

Batzenhäusl has three levels inside which overlook their Biergarten-- which was set up for the approaching Christmastime with Glühwein and other hot drinks. We were seated on the third level and though the restaurant’s other two levels were buzzing, the third level was much quieter. The all- wood surroundings lent a cosy feeling to the place and our chill from... More

We didn't have much time in Bolzano but we had wanted to search a craft beer stop. Batzen Brau has many draft and bottle beers to choose from and we enjoyed trying the local brews. We also shared appetizer of Tyrolean Cheese Dumplings and a Sausage plate, both good but large portions. There is indoor and outdoor seating and its... More

I had the local IPA, which was excellent, to accompany the beer noodles with chicken, which was a bit too chewy and not very flavorful, but acceptable. Service was good and prices reasonable.

We went to this restaurant and it was good. I had potato dumplings as an appetizer and they were delicious. My main meal consisting of a salad was nothing special. However, if you like beer, try their Batzen beer, it was excellent. Service was very good.
