I wanted to get my last gelato before heading back home and this fits the bill. It was close to where I was staying and I have passed by this place a few times. I got there closing time and the guy was nice enough to provide me with the gelato I wanted. Good thing the flavor I wanted hasn't... More

There are a number of gelato places in and around St. Mark's Square. You need to try at least once. Some say one shop is better than others, but we didn't eat much gelato.

After dinner, my husband and I stumbled upon this spot. We both decided to get a small cup with two flavors each. I got dark chocolate and a caramel with pecans. He got strawberry and strawberry cheesecake. Both were amazing. We plan to visit again before leaving Venice!

you haven't had a 'foodgasm' until you've been here. Their gelato is literally the best in venice (now living here and still addicted). Peanut butter with the dark chocolate is the best ;)

I had Biscotti with chocolate, it was to die for! Went back next day for Fig, just as good! Only 2 Euros for a small cup.

Great place for a scrumptious dish or cornetto of gelato. There are numerous flavors and between the two of us, we tried 5 and loved every one! No seating area but it's more fun to walk around and watch everyone looking at you with envy! While we didn't try every gelato offering on the island, this beat Grom's by a... More

Fantastic ice cream, a huge selection and friendly staff with generous helpings. Buy the two scoop pot for €3 and have two flavours. A great find.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
