Off the beaten path, worth finding. I had spectacular grilled octopus starter and a mixed seafood over large noodles. Exceptionally good. The ravishing waitress never stopped smiling. I would highly recommend. I have eaten here three times and loved each dinner

Food was average at best and the service was poor, despite the fact the tiny restaurant was almost empty. Lunch outside might be better but don't put it on your list of must eat restaurants!!

The humble settings belie the wonderful culinary experience within. Every course is delectable, and the service impeccable. Staff are friendly and attentive, and their recommendations made all the difference. The chocolate soufflé is to die for, so save space for dessert! Truly a highlight of the Venetian experience ❤️

We had the Tourist Menu, basically a 1st course, a 2nd course and a dessert. The 1st course (we both had Spaghetti Bolognese) was filling on its own. For our 2nd course, I had the Beef Steak, whilst my partner had Calamari. I finished mine quite quickly (steak was very thin, but was nice - however it was covered in... More

Very charming tiny restaurant, Venetian food all about seafood . Try it with the owners advices especially for wine and his sweet white Fragolino ... taste of wild strawberry! It is not a place for pizza, it is a place to enjoy Venetian food away from crowds Piazza San Marco. I was there many times and always enjoyed it)))

Good food quality, very tasty - but waiter was a little condescending. However, they were able to deal with my very severe peanut allergy, and they spoke perfect English. I had the spaghetti with garlic and chilli - it was very nice and very spicy! A glass of wine was €7 which was the most I paid, however it was... More

Food is good make sure you go for the tourist menu at €14 for starter main and a dessert. Good value for money good food but poor poor service they aren't very welcoming and personally I think it's because we were English as the local Italians got a different service.

Saturday, 31th December: two adults and two kids. Points of strenght: it was 14:45 but they did not claim was late; the kids did not eat anything and no service has been charged despite they were booking two seats; personnel kind, even if not so prone in explaining food characteristics (but remember it was so late). Points of weakness: food... More

Best food I've had in Italy so far. Portions were actually filling, tasted great. High quality italian food, 11/10 would recommend.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
