So fresh pratically leaping (in a good way) - delicious raw fish platter to start, clams with spaghetti - bliss - then a 30 min wait for the mains in a half empty restaurant - and an earful from the owner / manager when I...More

Situated in the 1500's red light this cozy place brings forth incredible flavors. While the style is not a true Venetian each plate taste is complex and satisfying. The rich and velvety taste is complemented perfectly by crisps with just a pinch of condiments that...More

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience this is not the place. Almost every table was full of Americans. I was very excited about our reservation, but ultimately I did not enjoy my meal. Neither did my dinner partner. I should have written...More

We dined here in early May 2017 because travel author Susan Van Allen had named it her favorite restaurant in Venice. The restaurant’s website declares that “You Don’t Arrive By Chance” presumably because it is not easy to find given its location in the San...More

This was my second visit and I had high expectations all of which were met. This time it was an evening visit. Had a choice of either 7.30 or 9.30. Opted for the later one and arrived to a bustling scene. It's a tiny place...More

Venice is a hard place to find really good authentic cooking without any tourist trappings. The restaurant is in a quiet residential neighborhood but the place was packed at 9:30 on a Wednesday night. Italians and travelers seemed to mix well. The food is focused...More

We were referred to this restaurant by several people we met on our travels as well as by some good friends. Now, having eaten there ourselves, we understand the referral. It truly was one of our best meals during our recent stay in Italy. We...More

Suggested by a friend and did not disappoint. Very popular place although it is not cheap. Next table told us that he had made the reservation weeks before he came when we were lucky enough just to be waved right in. Everything is divine so...More

Despite what an earlier review said, we did actually stumble across this place on a map-less wander around the back streets of Venice. A quick Trip Advisor search reassured us it was worth going inside and we were not disappointed! Great seafood - my husband's...More

The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six
sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest
neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)
stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San

Agree with comments below - well worth the splurge. Our cost was €110, two glasses of wine. Important to book ahead.

Can anyone spell out the route to this restaurant? I am arranging a trip for friends and would like to be able to lead them straight there from the Rialto Bridge.

We found It quite easily just using a street guide out of a guide book. Just take your time. You need to book though. Hope you enjoy.

We actually visited the restaurant in October although I reviewed it in November. We got our hotel to book - but it is possible that it's closed in January.
