I wanted to like this place - it's highly rated and the first impression was great (very friendly greeting), but the food was just average and the service was relatively slow. Even an Italian family seated nearby complained. I had better pizza at the slice...More

Great little restaurant in dorsoduro with excellent menu of fish, pasta and ristotto, meat dishes and pizzas. The pizzas were large and very tasty. I ate here two nights running on my own - as I has squeezed in a last minute trip to Venice...More

One of the best pizzas we've ever had. Both straciatella and verdurelle were exquisite. Super nice service also! Attentive but not overwhelming unlike most other places where we've eaten in venice where the waiters don't really let you eat in peace... all in all a...More

We have visited Al Profeta many times for excellent pizza at lunch and have always been very happy. Tonight we had a great dinner. We shared pheasant ragu pasta for a primi, then I had a secondi of leg of duck while my husband had...More

Dorsoduro offeres some excellent value restaurants. Whilst the grisly selection of overpriced eateries fronted by swarthy men with slicked back hair calling you into their gastronomic centres of despair around Piazza San Marco do more harm to Venice's culinary appeal than they could ever imagine,...More

The best dinner in Venice for sure! Great food (try the Ceviche (if you enjoy seafood....just remember, it is raw), and the pizza - very, very good). Service was good, even though the restaurant was very busy. We were in Venice for only 3 nights,...More

Tried the Al Profeta on night 2 of our séjour in Venice. It was a Sunday night and we had booked which is as well as the restaurant seemed to be full. So full, that it seemed like a system of two services was in...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob

Not sure if they can host such a big group. The court yard is rather small for such a big group. Better you find out from them.
