Definitely worth a visit when in Venice. Serves delicious food and the staff are very friendly. Also incredibly reasonably priced. Located not too far off the tourist routes.

My wife ate here most recently on a cold Friday night at the end of January. (I had eaten here once previously at the end of January 2015.) It was surprisingly crowded, with a line of people hoping for a table, but our reservation was honored. We sat towards the back and had a great view of the festively decorated... More

Tasty food, kind service and a lively atmosphere. The waiter even suggested we share desserts as they were more than enough for two people (Tiramisu). Do book in advance if you wish to visit as the restaurant is small. Overall, a very enjoyable, reasonably priced meal. Would happily return.

This place is amazing in its entirety! Starting with a great customer service where the waiter is enjoying your presence so much and he is so fabulous in his charisma and gestures. He will make you feel better by just looking and listening him to talking to other customers. It is purely brilliant! As for the food, the quantity is... More

Although people waiting in line, they honored our 8 pm reservation right on time! Warm and welcoming atmosphere and it is contagious among the staff and guests alike. Had the seafood pasta ..wonderful. Wife enjoyed the balsamic steak. Tiramisu was for two and very good. Just a good meal in a warm atmosphere at a very affordable price. If your... More

Had dinner in the restaurant last Saturday evening. Food, ambience and staff all great - our server Fabio was lovely. Lots of locals as well as a few tourists which is always a good sign. Frittelle for desert were best we've ever tasted. Super restaurant.

By far the best meal we had in venice. Small place so I'd definitely book ahead. The fish lasagna was amazing as was the polenta sauce with the fried fish. The sardine started was so tasty! Can't recommend enough.

We came in at 6pm with 2 and had immediately a table. Others couldnt because they had reservations, so be sure to call for a table. They are rather a small restaurant, but cozy to sit. I had the gnocchi with gamba's (13,5) and my boyfriend the lasagna bolognaise (8,5). Very tasty for a fair price. Friendly staff.

We were made to feel very welcome here despite it being an extremely busy place! Local food, fabulous service and reasonable pricing. The atmosphere was buzzing and made for a really great night.. I would definitely recommend booking before you go! A must if you're in the area.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
